Outside of the drudgery gleeful task of gathering the tax information every night this week, Miles and I have been creating little treasures and making things for Ivy's special day on Saturday. Creativity has a softness to it these few days, of trance-like knot-tying and Astrud Gilberto on the hi-fi.
Brandon made some hallelujah-good salmon and pineapple fried rice for dinner tonite, which I shall not soon forget. Everyone devoured it, even Ivy! I'm feeling veeery Springish (said with elfish delight) since the time changed. We went outdoors after the holy meal and drummed the big, orange sun down-a Campbell tradition begun with friends back in the mountain days.
Soft, slow, easy. The days breeze through, painted like an orchid...and I'm rendered {almost} speechless with contentedness.
