Stef and Maya hanging the bunting.
I've been running around this Summer and having what pretty much qualifies as too much fun. With Maya Donenfeld at Teahouse Studio this weekend, well...I can't even begin to describe what happens when crafting (sewing recycled Tyvek pouches by hand, and WITH a zipper) and the sacred collide. So much fun and depth, I am a happy broken record to report that women restoring their vitality through spirit and the arts makes my heart sing.
I stamped SAFE on my pouch (which is one of the projects in Maya's book) because I so value the safe container, and women are vessels for being exactly that.
Anna Wingfield walked us through an exqusite handwashing ritual.
And I can't miss what went down with at mealtimes.
Tartine before. (their famous bread pudding)
And the most valuable piece of all to me is connection.
I'll be holding circle again at Teahouse in 2013. My time attending and helping out at Maya's Day of Reinvention reminded me of how much I love the bay and the bright space available to us there. I hope to gather with you in sacred growth, sisters.
