Summer SouLodge will cover the following concepts when we travel around the Medicine Wheel:

Summary: This session will bring us to the most active season on the Wheel, associated with the direction of South, in which we'll pioneer the wilderness within, and bring our focus to the creative expression and voice of the archetype of Wild Woman. In what ways would you like to feel fully expressed? In writing? In relationship? Visual arts? With your body? In community? Each position on the Wheel (East, South, West, and North) acts as a compass for our soulwork. There are lessons associated with each one, and companion animals that will guide us through the teachings. Like the wheel of life, women are not static. In Lodge, we learn to bring flow, trust and acceptance to all that we are creating, building, reinventing, and leaning deeply into. This session in particular will guide us to give VOICE to the dreams we are dreaming, take action on their behalf, and create support around the ideas with which we'd like to experience a strong corresponding truth.

Each week we will check in with our balancing guide for the session, the Mistress of Song: WHALE.

Week One: The first week of Lodge is where you'll gently ease into community and familiarize yourself with the concepts we connect with in order to do the work. You will see videos and participate in discussions about why the Medicine Wheel works as a foundation for women's soulwork, learn about the smudging ceremony, get a review of what will be covered in the session, and step into the optional Flickr and Facebook communities to gather with women.

Week Two, EAST: This week we begin our journey around the Wheel in the first position of the East. The East is associated with trust and new beginnings. Kestrel will lead us through lessons of patience, illumination and faithful truth-telling.

Week Three, SOUTH: This active and transportive direction will find us entrusting our soulwork to Horse, the agent of movement. We'll be examining ways to carry our offerings far and wide, how to bundle our gifts and share them with the world. Horse shows us how to be unapologetic about traveling out to those who would love to hear your songs, and to honor the magic that are your blessings.

Week Four, WEST: The great Mama Ocean and her tributaries bring us to the place on the Wheel which requires self-reflection and the release of obstacles in order to complete the process. Voyaging into the West calls upon each Lodge sister to go deep and understand those leg traps which hang us up when we are making ample strides. It's always something, isn't it? Gentle discussions around these subjects always prove cleansing. Beaver will guide us through the dams with ease and grace, allowing us to discover what ideas and beliefs do serve and which must be washed out to sea for transmutation and rebirth.

Week Five, NORTH: Travel with mystical Turtle in the North to the ancient homeland of your wisdom. Here we assimilate all that we have gathered in the previous teachings in order to rest and restore our energies with the primal energy that floats and soars under the sea. Turtles carry their shelter with them wherever they go, never dissociating from home.

Week Six: Slowly unwind and become complete with the course and community.

Join our howling pack of wisewomen for a heart opening experience, as you learn to see and perceive yourself and your experiences symbolically, with refreshed eyes. This practice can be enjoyed in community or in solitary, and there is no way to do it wrong. The focus is entirely on your growth process, with the mindset that you contain all of the intuitive guidance you need within you. SouLodge is the space I gently hold around you as you rebirth yourself into new awareness and movement, stillness and knowing. All levels of experience are welcome.

Each session of Lodge contains juicy tools for insight and growth around your soulwork:

*Weekly videos that take you through a full cycle of the four directions of the Medicine Wheel

*Video instructions on how to take a Shamanic Journey-a form of active imagination/meditation that takes you into your inner realms to discover helper spirits such as power animals, totems and guides to assist you with your inner work and outer manifestion of transformation.

*MP3 audio music to use while you journey each week.

*Weekly exercises, rituals, and/or crafts that connect the lessons to your creative practice. These are often derived from traditional or primitive teachings.

*Seasonal applications for the holidays, solstices, and equinoxes are present in each session. Inspiration for ceremonies around clearing internal obstacles, releasing fear, honoring the sacred, understanding the role of ego versus the role of higher Self, creating a deeper connection to the Earth, bringing the wisdom back to the hearth to integrate at home, self-care during transformation/transition, and confident application of tools are typically taught and discussed.

*Optional community forums and safe sharing space on both Facebook and Flickr.

*PDF of the completed course material with forever access to the videos, content and MP3s.

Where: Online, at your own pace

How: Videos, prompts and teachings will be posted at the SouLodge page for five weeks. Step into the space with an open heart to explore the deeper workings within.

Who: All skill levels are welcome. Come as you are. No prior SouLodge experience necessary.

Why: We go within to find help from the Source that exists for all of us. We take this journey to become stronger in our truths. When we gather tools to heal our own hearts, we heal the world.

What: SouLodge is my offering of a rite of passage to honor the wisewoman within YOU.

The virtual retreat is a sacred women's lodge. Inside the "lodge" is where our ancestors gathered together to work with the traditional medicine that their elders passed down to them. SouLodge is a safe shelter in which you will explore your spiritSelf, clear obstacles, judgments and resistance, gather tools, guides and allies for your journey inward, discover powerful totems and rituals to support you on your path, share your creations (if you choose to), and open your heart up to the healing that accompanies an awakened life. SouLodge offers you the opportunity to connect with and embrace your feminine, receptive, and intuitive power. It is a space to be still in, to honor the paths of others, and to soak up the lessons that are born spontaneously when we circle. 

During this five-week course, you'll receive weekly videos, exercise prompts, activities, rituals, shamanic journey resources, and membership to the private Facebook and Flickr groups for access to communal sharing of work with your dreams, animal totems, stones and crystals, plants, and the earth. Digging deep into your den means calling up the questions, embracing the true Self, embodying the divine feminine, and learning to intuit the directions you will take on your path.

I follow the blog comments, interact, and pose questions that emerge during the week's assignments and meet you in the community forum. I avail myself to your questions and concerns, as well as provide resources for taking your wild work to the next level.

SouLodge is a place to learn, to connect, to gather tools and allies. It is a sacred place to retreat to in order to discover the sanctuary that already exists within you.

Yay! I'm doing the Autumn session! I just recently received the postcard set I ordered from you- and by gosh. I had the sniffles by the time I was unwrapping the bag. Thank. You. So. Much. They are exactly what my soul needed right now. I pretty much knew when I was flipping through the deck that I needed to set up camp in the Soulodge. I'm am looking forward to the Autumn session to begin!
