The funniest story has been unfolding in my world today about the story of the selkie in "Sealskin, Soulskin" from WWRWtW.
It is likely my fave story in the book, so I return to it like a buttery blankie when I'm feeling like I need a little fix, but don't have time for all new concepts at the moment. I'd just read it in bed last night.
It began when this LOVE mentioned *selkie* in a note to me and I was like, "What is Selkie? is that like a swamp creature that eats little children?" (No, that would be a Kelpie, silly). Both are mystical and charming, hear this. But one of them lures children and one of them is far more benevolent.
Please just go and read this. It will do your soul some good. Especially if you've happened to have misplaced your skin...
**And please enjoy these pics of Ivy as she sings, yes SINGS her little heart out on a wagon ride earlier today (while I was searching high and low for my growing short-term memory).**
"When we are in our rightful wildish nature, we all feel this bright life. It is one of the signs that we are close to Wild Woman. We all enter the world in a dancing condition. We always begin with our own pelts intact."
