It's a far cry from raining here in the desert-like belt of the Central Valley, but my spirit feels like it's dancing in the rain. The SouLodge is growing into a robust community of truly kindred individuals and we're weeks from beginning. Creating something that comes from a place so ready and fertile is the best feeling in the world.
I received some Rabbit medicine on the porch last night, (Bunny Killer just left me a fluff of cottontail) about thirty minutes before I read this blog post on Possibility. Stacy wrote about stepping into possibility rather than stepping out of one's comfort zone. Think of Rabbit and how much risk she takes- she is the ultimate vulnerable creature. Yet, she is so prolific: creativity is the key to her survival. She steps out into possibility, because hanging out in her protective warren would never allow her to create the way that she needs to in order to thrive.
When I read Stacy's post, I immediately thought of all that I've created, and of how easy it is to step into possibility, rather than out of a comfort zone, and I felt the truth of that vibrate in my bones.
Everything I need to know, I learn from the creatures and the Earth. And good friends, too.
